About the Artist …

Adam is a rising Sydney-based textile artist who works primarily with tufting, a technique that uses a specialized “gun” to fire yarn through stretched canvas at high speed. What might traditionally be seen as an industrial craft tool becomes, in his practice, a drawing instrument.

Each piece begins as a loose sketch, but the final outcome is shaped in motion, with Adam guiding the tufting gun across the surface to build lines, textures, and forms. Once complete, the yarn is carefully trimmed and refined by hand, bringing clarity and precision to the work while preserving its tactile quality.

His work sits somewhere between painting and sculpture. It’s visual but also physical, inviting viewers to experience depth, softness, and structure all at once, often provoking the urge to reach out and touch it.

Living and working in Sydney, Adam draws constant inspiration from his surroundings, the coastline, architecture, and familiar landmarks. Through textile, he reinterprets these spaces in a way that feels both graphic and dimensional.

Each piece is designed to be both a visual and physical experience, sparking curiosity, warmth, and a sense of shared community. Alongside his ongoing series work, Adam also takes commissions, creating custom artworks that transform personal places and ideas into one-of-a-kind creations.
